What MDL Server Does For You
The MDL server was designed to allow in nearly real time to receive images created in the field, with all the necessary information attached, at any place where an internet connection is available. At the same time the MDL Server allows to take a maximum charge over the management of the image database, and to share chosen images with colleagues or customers. Therefore all the features of this application aim towards these ends with the most possible leisure and simplicity in use.
Because each user is given their own unique ID and password the highest level of privacy is guaranteed. This feature also allows the administrator to choose the range of the application seen by the individual user (a colleague, office staff, customer).
To search for a given image in your database is as easy as never before. Thanks to the user friendly and at the same time sophisticated FILTER you have an instant access to any image, including historic images. You have the option to filter according to many categories - Author, Name, Keyword, Note, Creation Time, Upload Time, GPS Coordinates. The individual categories can be combined according to your needs, and the filter selected can be saved for future use. Of course the same value MDL server offers also to your customers in their designated area.
Each individual image uploaded on MDL server carries additional features that make your work even more efficient. Thus by selecting the Map navigation link it is possible to view an exact location where a given image was taken. It is also possible to download the given image, transport it to an external www or send the image(s) via an automatically created e-mail.
To make your database more transparent and for a better management MDL server makes possible to divide the database into directories and subdirectories according to your pre-determined rules. By using the Rules for upload bar you can direct all created images by an individual colleague to a specific directory or subdirectory that you may consequently made available to your customer.
